We are so happy to announce that our studio manager and experienced lead teacher Sam HUGHES will take you to 8 days wellness holiday in Turkey, on 15th-22nd May 2022. You will reconnect yourself with inner and outer nature on a nourishing week long wellness retreat set in the beautiful Mediterranean area of southern Turkey. We can guarantee you will ‘get stronger, feel refreshed and rejuvenated, and deeply relaxed’ through Sam’s programme of dynamic and relaxing yoga and Pilates classes. Delicious Turkish meals, a beautiful day trip on the Turkish coastal cruise-styled yacht, hiking on the beautiful hills, visiting a traditional Turkish local market are on the list to give you an amazing experience!
Huzur Valley is 650 m above sea level, 9 km inland and 15 minutes from the iconic yachting resort of Göcek in southwest Turkey. It is a sublimely peaceful and secure environment.
The old farmhouse is at the heart of the site. It is in typical Mediterranean style, with thick stone walls and verandah, it houses our kitchen, office, and massage room. Meals are served from the terrace, you can also connect to wifi here. We have to warn you wifi is not the best as this location created for you to get away from daily distraction!
The natural unspoilt environment and the peace of the valley has twelve yurts that accommodate people in single, twin, double and triple accommodation. Yurt actually means ‘home’ in Turkish and is a traditional Turkic structure, still home to many people in Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other Turkic republics. All the yurts are comfortable and well appointed with wooden floors, doors, electricity and proper beds. They adjust to the ambient temperature, so are cool at night so you can sleep in comfort. You can see the stars from your bed through the roof wheel known as ‘the eye of heaven’. There are also four safari tents, with a similar level of comfort, only smaller which can be used for extra single accommodation.
Bathroom and shower facilities are shared, and are conveniently placed around the site. They are kept immaculately clean and hot water is supplied by solar power.
The natural Stone swimming pool is the perfect place to relax, as is the ‘köşk’ a traditional Turkish treehouse which is the perfect spot for a siesta.
There is also a bar where you can help yourself to a drink (honesty system) or take a book from the library to read in a hammock under an olive tree. Huzur Valley's setting brings a deep connection with the natural world that immeasurably enhances the benefits of yoga practice.
The spacious yoga shala has room for up to twenty eight people to practice and is fully equipped with mats, belts, blocks, bolsters and blankets. It is located in the middle of the yurts, and is fully equipped with mats, belts, blocks, bolsters and blankets. There is another tranquil open air room with bamboo-glazed surrounds for those who want to order a massage.

YOGA / PILATES
The classes are taught by Sam HUGHES studio manager of Ebru Evrim studio. No yoga or pilates experience is required for this wellness holiday. As part of a small group, you will be guided and given modification, whatever your experience. The Class schedule will be shared via Email with all attendees.
At the end of the week you will see that you are more flexible and that following up the exercises is faster and easier. In the morning, the yoga classes are more sporty with powerful exercises. The afternoon classes are more slow. You stay a little longer in the postures, usually about 4 minutes, this way your muscles and the connective tissue will be stretched. You decide whether you participate in the lessons. There is no obligation. After all, it is your vacation!
